No Light Blog this time. I learned that Friday is the worst day to post a blog because everyone is in "play" mode for the weekend.

And my limited-technology brain is having trouble with scheduling a time.

So...What's the best day for y'all?

Warmth

For the LORD God is a sun... Psalm 84:11

Psalm 84 is one of my favorite psalms. Such joyful praise!

God is a sun. Interesting. He is Light, but a sun?

As our Light, He guides us; as our Sun, He warms us.

When I'm lonely, He gives me the warmth of His presence.

When I'm sad, He gives me the warmth of His comfort.

When I'm confused, He gives me the warmth of His wisdom.

The wonderful thing is that, even when I don't "need" something, His warmth's still there: joy, peace, love, grace.

It's Your Turn to Be Silly!

(Note: I hope my silliness doesn't offend anyone. If so, I apologize)

I came across this as I was doing my search on the word "light."

His snorting throws out flashes of light; his eyes are like the rays of dawn. Job 41:18 

It makes me giggle. I know, I shouldn't giggle at God but...I never thought of Him snorting before.

As much as I like this verse, I just couldn't make anything spiritual out of it.




How about...Don't cross God; He'll snort at you!
