God made two great lights--the greater light...and the lesser
light. God set them in the expanse of the sky to
give light on the earth. Genesis 1:16, 17
But the sun can't flood our hearts, minds, and souls. Only the Son can fill us with light. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 4:6. Jesus is the Light of the world and of our hearts.
The moon--it reflects the light of the sun so our skies are never consumed by darkness. Its beams peer through clouds and bounce off the surface of the water.
The Son has chosen to reflect His light to the world through those of us who believe in Him. We reflect Him by our smiles, by simple acts of kindness, or by a listening ear.
Don't struggle to reflect Jesus in the big things, reflect Him in the small things and His light will pierce the darkness of the world around you.
